New in 2023, we are very excited to be offering you the opportunity to experience the full complexity and diversity of an astonishing country on our bike tour through South Africa. You’ll touch its diverse history on a township tour, taste the region’s rich wines and as dive into its contemporary culture, visit an ostrich farm, wine estates, and so much more! Hike or cable car to the top of Table Mountain for dramatic views of the valley’s landscapes of sandstone mountains, flower-filled valleys and semi-arid plains. Journey by bike along the Garden Route, admiring the forests, cliffs, and coastline that have made it famous. Visit a penguin colony. Explore a little pocket of France in the middle of its celebrated wine country. And end each exhilarating day in charming accommodations that reflect the true character of each amazing destination.

Our bike tour offers mainly easy rides throughout the trip as well as some moderate terrain for those who are a bit fitter and want some extra mileage. The trip is ideal for the casual and experienced cyclist. Existing bike handling skills, rules of the road knowledge and bike etiquette awareness are essential. The rides are mainly on tar and gravel roads and, on most days, the rides have extra sections available for those feeling like they want do more. We have arranged the trip to ride on quiet, scenic roads as much as possible, so that the cycling is relaxed and you can enjoy soaking up the scenery.

During the trip we will stay in quaint, 3 to 4-star accommodation and you have the choice to rent a standard bike or an e-bike with pedal assist (you still need to pedal)!
