Starting in 2025, we have been offering the Khopra Ridge as an extension to our Annapurna North Base Camp Trek. After receiving great feedback from several recent groups, it became apparent that the hike to Khopra Ridge and visit to Khayer Lake deserved to be its own trip. So…now it is!
Yes, the Annapurna area is popular, but Khopra Ridge offers a less traveled, less commercialized hike which supports the local communities and affords some of the best views in the region.
The Khopra Ridge is a spectacular section of the longer Annapurna-Dhaulagiri Community Trail. The idea behind this trail is to support the local communities, schools and health clinics along the route. Part of your trip cost goes towards achieving this goal.
The Khopra Ridge Hike is a great alternative if you want to escape the crowds, visit small farming communities and experience outstanding views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountain ranges.
