The stunning Ganesh Himal range in central NepalThe Ganesh Himal is a sub-range of the main Himalayan Chain located in north-central Nepal, with some peaks lying on the border with Tibet. The Trisuli Gandaki Valley on the east separates it from the Langtang Himal and the Shyar Khola Valley on the west separates it from the Mansiri Himal, home of the 8,000 meter Mount Manaslu. The Ganesh Himal Range is situated approximately 50 miles north-northwest of Kathmandu, thus making it an accessible trekking destination. The highest peak in the range is Yangra (Ganesh I) at 24,350 feet. There are three other peaks over 7,000 meters and some fourteen others over 6,000 meters. Ganesh Himal enjoys great vertical relief over nearby valleys and villages. The name for the range comes from the Hindu deity Ganesha, usually depicted in the form of an elephant.

Our new Ganesh Himal Panorama is a moderate trekking adventure in one of Nepal’s most beautiful and surprisingly less traveled regions. The gorgeous valleys, villages and forests are towered over by the sacred peaks of the Ganesh Himal mountain range. The wonderful hiking paths in this area first take us through picturesque Tamang farming villages, into enchanting forests of rhododendron, fir and pine and then off the beaten trail into areas of wilderness and isolation.
