Hi Andy,
The trek was wonderful. It was just as you had described and what we were looking for: beautiful scenery combined with glimpses of local culture. Thanks for suggesting this trip to us. Skies were clear and very blue. Trails were rocky with many steep ups and downs. We passed many mule and yak caravans carrying supplies. We hiked through numerous villages as well as slowly explored the ones where we camped. We saw many chortens, mani walls, farms, and monasteries, and were fascinated by how home construction and lifestyles changed as we gained elevation. Our guide, Mindu, was wonderful. He brought his son, Balden as his assistant since it was a school holiday. We asked him to teach us Nepali words and phrases. The rest of the staff was great and very attentive.
